Finance faculty research
Publications
One of the primary manifestations of the Department of Finance’s success is in bringing to our educational programs faculty who are leading thinkers in the discipline.
Our faculty are expected to exceed the high hurdles set forth in the review processes of the elite journals in finance and related disciplines. Our faculty rank in the top 25 departments among thousands in the world for articles published annually in the premier finance journals, including Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Financial Economics, and Review of Financial Studies.
We have significant expertise in corporate governance, venture capital, entrepreneurial finance, private equity, asset pricing, hedge funds, organizational design, derivatives, capital markets, and much more. Look for these and other common themes here in our list of Recent Faculty Publications, in our list of Working Papers.
Working papers
Faculty working papers often provide a preview of the direction of research in finance and related disciplines. In many cases, these working papers provide a glimpse into the future of how we will think about the world, and what is going to penetrate into the classroom.
Some of the work is not yet fully formed, but it provides a look at where knowledge in the profession is created and where it is going.
To our academic colleagues, and to those of you in the business community who have insight and interest, we welcome your comments on our research.
