An immersive early move-in experience for incoming first-year students, the REACH program equips you with tools for success at ASU’s W. P. Carey School of Business. You’ll move into your residence hall room early, earn academic course credit with WPC 194, and get prepared for your future — while making meaningful connections with faculty, staff, alumni, classmates, and mentors.

Reflect

REACH is a unique early move-in program for incoming first-year students at ASU’s W. P. Carey School of Business. Students who attend will participate in a series of tailored activities and workshops before ASU move-in and classes begin. REACH fosters a supportive, welcoming, and inclusive community that sets the foundation for a successful college experience.

Explore

The REACH program is all about building important and meaningful connections, meeting new friends, exploring the business school, discovering important resources, and having fun. Over the course of six days, you’ll get to know yourself better, build your own set of goals, and create cohesive teams with students who have diverse interests and backgrounds.

This year’s REACH program will be hosted from Sunday, Aug. 11 to Friday, Aug. 16, 2024. The six-day agenda includes a variety of engaging opportunities for personal and professional growth.

  • Morning: Arrive, move in to your residence hall room, get situated.
  • Midday: Check in to the program.
  • Afternoon: Student and family welcome, including program overview, family floor meeting, and ice breakers.
  • Evening: Dinner and activities with student leaders.
  • Morning: Welcome from school leadership. Meet your team.
  • Midday: Team activities.
  • Afternoon: W. P. Carey School of Business Overview: An introduction to the college, who’s who at ASU, resources, and majors.
  • Evening: Pizza and Pool Party: Night at the Sun Devil Fitness Complex with student leaders.
  • Morning: Growth mindset and self-efficacy with Julia LaRosa, Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship.
  • Midday: Teamwork time, activities, campus exploration, resources.
  • Afternoon: Roundtable mixer with student leaders.
  • Evening: Mentor dinner with W. P. Carey alumni, staff, and student leaders.
  • Morning: Teamwork time, activities, campus exploration, resources.
  • Midday and afternoon: Conference-style sessions of your choice.
  • Evening: Dinner and activities programming with student leaders.
  • Morning: Professor Julia LaRosa, growth mindset and goal setting.
  • Midday: Teamwork time, activities, campus exploration, resources, and feedback.
  • Afternoon: Professionalism with W. P. Carey Career Services Center coaches.
  • Evening: Etiquette dinner.

Your REACH experience unfolds at ASU’s innovative Tempe campus, where diverse plant life surrounds a mix of historic and modern buildings. You’ll explore your residence halls, the business buildings, Sun Devil Fitness Center, Palm Walk, McCord Hall, Dreamscape Learn, and a range of dynamic locations throughout the program.
